Fuel Rail Spacers - Necessary?

Ok so my engine almost ready to run, but i seems like i lost the black spacers that go behind the fuel rail bolts.

Are they a critical component? Will I get any fuel leakage due to the slight misalignment without the spacers?

Thanks in advance.

They'll stop you tightening the fuel rail too much and damaging your injectors.

Think I lost one of my spares so I can't lend you a set. Someone like Russ might have some you could use to get going and then buy him a brand new set?

I got by when I lost one for a few days by cutting some rubber fuel hose to make a spacer.
I had the other one to judge the width.

Don't burn the car down though
