Okay so I had mx5Plus install an NB torsen into my NA6 back 4 months ago. until i believed it was working perfectly fine but never really tested it. recently i have installed coilovers and have noticed something weird. there is this car park which has a driveway with a steep entry which i hit at an angle so that i don't scrape. the first time i went up the driveway i believed the lsd worked because it felt like it started spinning and then the "torsen" kicked in and sent torque to the other wheel and i was able to get up easily. since then i went back today and the diff at 7k rpm in 1st gear did not transfer any noticable torque to the wheel on the ground. and i only got up it by getting a run up.
Is my diff broken or is this normal?
if broken is it fixable?
This thing cost 2k installed so im not too happy about the performance out of it.

Re: Torsen LSD Question
You had a wheel off the ground - torsens don't like that.

Re: Torsen LSD Question
Basically a Torsen only works when both wheels are on the ground. If one wheel is airborne or goes light enough the Torsen will go open.
