Sorry can't offer any advice
when I was putting my exhaust on, I grabbed a marker pen a wrote a note for any mechanic who might consider undoing it.

Whoa, now I'm scared to remove bolts on my gearbox haha
Does the box still work with out it?

Nope. When that bolt is removed a pile of witchcraft inside the gearbox falls out of place.

I wouldn't risk it the linkage piece is just sitting in the gear box could and probably would bounce around and jam the gearbox

To anyone that has this problem Make sure slide and hole through linkage is smooth and clean of any bers
use supa glue to hold linkage in place on top and bottom
Then bellhousing back on and put slide back in and should be OK
Mine is all good
