Can't use USDM master, it's different.
Slave should be the same.

i got a rebuild master kit and a new after market slave from mx5parts.co.uk
both were great.
piece of advice with the slave cylinder. screw in the hard line finger tight BEFORE you bolt it back to the chassi. its a pain in !@#$ to get the thread to line up otherwise.

There's nothing very special about clutch master and slave cylinders, even for race applications. Try the likes of Repco or even your local brake place.

I've used 949 ones a few times on various 5s.
No issues what so ever.
Great product for how cheap they where.
If your buying pads of something else from then I used to just throw a slave or 2 in the box as they where only like $25.

^^ this. Any decent aftermarket unit will do the job. I always keep a spare on hand though, and squeeze the slave boot every time the car is on the hoist.
