Yes - that's the spec of the plug that I'm using and it fits perfectly.
Have you measured your new plug to verify the thread and pitch are correct?

didn't the pitch and thread change pre and post 98?

Digging this question up from the archives as want to check the thread size on my 1990 MX5. Anyone confirm for sure please?
