Sensors are available one eBay Australia for between $14 and $35.

Haven't seen the actual plug though so yo may need to source one from a wrecker.

Seems that everyone has the same issue.... I think my solution is going to be to just make a connection to the switch and place the old connector over the top just to get it over the Pits, Then i'll just ground the wire so the fan always runs....

Will keep looking for a replacement so if anyone finds one give us a heads up!

Try scouring wrecking yards maybe?

Just bring the switch or old plug and have a look at other cars.

Mazda 323 used the B6/BP engines
As did The Ford Laser, Ford Capri.
Mazda 121 used the B3 and B5, I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of parts carry over on them as well.

I beleive some models of Kia also used the BP engine, maybe the Mentor?

I wouldn't be surprised if at least the above cars had the same plugs/sensors.
It's also likely that they were used on many other non B series engines mazdas as well. (for example, my NB8B foglights are identical to what Mazda used on the Tribute)

Thanks,

Interestingly based on the Tridon replacement sensor number TFS-114 it apparently suits the Ford Laser, Ford Telstar, Mazda MX5, Mazda MX6, Mazda 121/626, and even the Mercedes C Class C180

Unfortunately I want a new plug/socket/connector not a second hand one so it has to be one somewhere...

FURTHER DEVELOPMENTS:

The OEM replacement is the Tridon TFS114 - This has a M16x1.5 thread and a normally open 90 degree close -80 degree open range.
There is also a Tridon TFS139 with a M16x1.5 but has an 85 degree close and 80 degree open. This means your fans will start when the coolant is 5 degrees lower but switch off at the same time, it may prevent some temperature spiking but most importantly it has a standard terminal connection which will be great for this broken plug problem for anyone else looking!
