Quick Reroute flow question

Hi Guys
Finishing up the install of my brothers 1.7 build.
We have a NitroDann Reroute in place and i have a small question that i would just like to confirm i am on the right track with solving.
Basically it is a cold side reroute with a Front Thermo housing and neck Delete. Welsh plug installed.
Now my issue is the Air valve has a coolant port on it that used to run to the front thermo housing neck t-piece along with another hose that ran to the outlet pipe from the water pump. I think this is called a mixing manifold?
My question is can i just connect a hose from the Mixing Manifold to the Air Valve coolant port on the intake manifold or will the flow be wrong and fighting itself?
I hope my diagram makes more sense then my typing.
What i am trying confirm is can i just do what the
GREEN line is doing ??
Any help much appreciated!!!

Hi Mark,
I am unable to see your diagram due to work internet restrictions, however is this diagram of assistance to you?
Jeff.

I'm not sure exactly where your green line is starting from but it looks like it's running from somewhere high on the engine to the water pump inlet, bypassing the radiator. That means most of the hot water would go from the engine straight back into the water pump without any cooling. I don't think that's what you really want to do, is it?
The idea of any MX5 re-route is to take most of the water from the back of the head to the radiator inlet.

I cant see why the green line wouldn't work, it would flow in the correct direction.
My reroute has each end of your green lines blocked by just jamming a bolt in a small length of hose and using a hose clamp.
same thing as yours essentially. it also allows you to delete a fair bit of those annoying intake manifold hoses.

Those annoying little intake manifold hoses are there to enable the idle speed control valve to work properly.

Yes mark what you suggest is fine.
Its a fluid even a small pressure differential will promote flow and onlya little flow is needed for its warmth on that valve.

Why did the valve need to be warmed?

Wax-pellet air-valve actuator - expands with heat. For the NA6 at least.

NA8 has coolant lines to an idle speed control unit on the bottom of the throttle body assembly instead. Can't remember if it has wax pellet or electric actuator embedded in it.
Sorry about my bad on your first post Dweez, I didn't read it properly and was thinking that was your whole re-route.
