Hi guys, I mentioned my problem long time ago, and I replaced my clutch to a heavy duty clutch and a lightest chrome flywheel, both are from Excedy. It is much smoother than before but seriously but gear still get stuck when I try to put in gear two, most of the time its happen when I put my gear 4 to 2 or gear 3 to 2 for doing concern, can anyone let me know what else could causing this?

NB8B? Sounds like it's difficult to get into gear as opposed to being stuck in gear? In other words, it's difficult to engage second gear, not actually stuck in third or fourth? Did you try changing the gearbox oil?

If so to all of the above, then it sounds more like a second gear synchro ring issue.

Change gearbox oil. I use this and it works for both road and track: http://www.nulon.com.au/products/Gear_a ... a_kZ5w2X_g

Change gear stick boots and bushes if they are worn or torn.

My NB8B is not great when it is cold, it goes in to gear okay but has more resistance than when it is hot.

You mention that this is happening when you are changing 4th to 2nd or 3rd to 2nd...At what speed are you changing down? Are you braking at the same time or just using the gears to slow the car down?

+1 for that Nulon gear oil - they also have this treatment:

Have heard of good results from using the two.

Mine is a NB8B and I get this issue on the odd occassion but its mostly when cold or warming up so this is normal.
+1 for the oil change. Im about to do mine to see if it improves things (plus I dont know when it was last done)

Is that Nulon g/box oil good to use in the nb8b 6 speed? Iv seen it around alot and like Nulon, thinking of using this in my gearbox and diff when I get around to changing them. Most likely use nulon engine oil too.

When I mean stuck, is like the gear stick cannot put into the gap, and stay in neutral.
Thats right, I realize this happen mostly in the morning when I drive to school.
I am using formula 1 gear oil, is that good enough or should I try the one you guys suggested, by the way I changed to a short shifter, so all the brush and the "stuffs" under the rubber boot are in good condition.

hmm sounds like typical 6 speed issues.

what type of viscocity is this formula1 gear oil and is it mineral or synthetic based?

I guess is synthetic based, I am not the one who replace the oil, I just told my machanic that I want to use top of the range engine or gear box oil like formula 1, and he did it for me. So I am not sure what type of oil does he used, what do you suggest for the engine oil or gear oil? May be next time I will buy it by myself and bring it to him.

First thing I would try is ditching the short shifter and putting a stock one in with brand new rubbers and boots.

No idea what Formula 1 Gear Oil is or if it is the right spec for your gearbox. I have tried a number of different gear oils including the Redline MT90 and some funky blue race oil and they were both complete shat in an MX5 box...Nulon everytime for me, a quarter of the price and it actually works.

The problem can also just come down to technique. Trying to direct the gearleaver to 2nd rather than just guiding the lever to where it needs to be can cause you to miss the gate and get stuck in neutral. Changing down in to 2nd can be difficult if you do not know how to heel n toe, you may just be going to quickly to get it in to 2nd.

Formula 1 = Mobil 1

Thinking laterally:
Going by your avatar photo, you are sitting too far away from the steering wheel.
Move closer, MUCH CLOSER, this might help because if you are too far away, you might be pulling the gearstick too much toward you because you don't have enough reach/strength as you are already at full reach.
