Nanotech - I have a Fastline in my Honda...which is what got me into looking for one of these.

Something to be aware of is the extra NVH

You will notice a 'hum', a bit of noise from the shifter.
Mostly when you have the roof up and cruising.
It is because it is solid and transmits the vibration more than the insulated oem shifter.

I think the Miata roadster uses a brass bush on the selector tip vs a nylon one on the oem unit.

Although not brass it is Delrin, which is a bit stiffer I believe

The oem shifter has built in insulator - the MRSSK is solid
It is one of the negative points of the shifter.
It may not concern you, but you need to be aware of it. Its sort of a gear noise.
Certainly in a track or race car you wouldnt notice.
A DD road car it will be noticeable.
I notice it when roof is up. Driving around town.

I know you are looking to try one out locally but I have had two of the long ones in different cars now.

Expensive but absolutely worth it. Your hand falls straight on to it, it is direct, the throw is somehow no longer than stock and if you have bucket seats where you sit lower in the car you feel like an actual racing driver when you use it

Would that be a side effect of using something like the Beatrush Shifter Collar on your stock shifter?
