Engine temps

I have been playing with an OBD reader in an attempt to set up some engine readouts for track use. Below are pics of it running in another car, using dashcommand and a plx kiwi.

What are normal running temps for the engine coolant? and what ranges have you observed for air intake? I have got an external intake, so hopefully won't be running anything like the temp here in the pic (when ambient temps were around 18 degrees).

Thanks! :D

Normal road (water temp) I have between 81 and 85, track around 97 to 102. I can get some more data if you like, you will just need to download Logworks to read the file. I find that my oil temps are a little hotter than the water (but this could be where the oil temp sensor is).

You will Make maximum power in the low to mid 80s. anything above 100 is pretty warm and much past 115 sh*t goes down.

AIT anything from ambient to 50c is normal and on a turbo car running all of it maybe see 70c. supercharged cars will see over 100 with a big pulley and no cooler.

My scangauge reports water temps of 88-91 as standard, coming up to 97 at traffic lights before the extra fan kicks in bring it back to 91. Track sees it maxing out at 103.
IAT vary wildly. Anything from ambient to 65 depending on driving conditions, ie goes way up stuck in traffic in summer in Bris, could see 75.

Thanks guys. What are you using to read them?

And for the acronym deficient I am assuming AIT is ambient intake temp?

I'm using Innovate DL32 data logger and other Innovate stuff. At the moment it logs oil/ water temps, oil pressure, MAP, G forces, speed, AIT, engine bay temp, AFR and RPM. Soon to add 4x exhaust temps, 2x ride height sensors, TPS and brake pressure.
