STALLING - AFM OR TEMP SENSOR???

Postby Kimberley » Sun Mar 17, 2013 2:28 pm

After reading some other posts I may have a AFM or the temp sensor problem. I own a 1999 Anniversary Model. I have been away for three months, came home to find someone had turned off the trickle feed to my battery, so the battery was very dead (not that old either), so bought a new original one. Since I have got the car back with the new battery( had to wait a couple of weeks) it stalls as I am driving along at speeds around 60klm & less. Not that often or always but enough now to worry me that it is not getting better. The car starts well enough each time I restart it, although it does not start as well & easily as it used to needs more revs to keep it happy. Also at times it will lose power & jump a long a bit as if it is not getting any fuel, It has fresh fuel in it, have in the past replaced the fuel pump & fuel filter a couple of years ago. Would like to have more idea before taking it to the garage as to what the problem is.
