Hey guys, I have the EGR valve off for cleaning and I have noticed it leaks contact cleaner out past where the plunger shaft enters the top of the valve.
Doesn't this thing see manifold vacuum in the top port all the time? It would definately be causing a vac leak if so.
The shaft doesn't look worn or have any play in it and the end is peened over so I can't pull it apart without some major mods.
Anybody have a flow diagram or something for this system?

Re: EGR valve leak
Oops forgot pic, not that it really shows anything.
It seems to seal reasonably well between the two ports as it should do but the top port can pull air in past the plunger shaft, the solenoid fits on top but doesn't seal anything.
