My OEM radiator in my 2001 nb8b seems to be on its way out
so i thought it might be a good idea for an upgrade.
Does anyone here run the KOYO 37mm radiator? And if so where did you source yours?
I've been in contact with goodwin racing which sell them in USA but they told me that since the box is very LARGE,
the only shipping option is through FEDEX which turns out to be very pricey.
(radiator $300, shipping normally $145 but due to being oversize about an extra $100 for FEDEX)
It seems that i can only find the 53mm version being sold here in aus.

The 53mm will be overkill for my style of driving I think, also i heard there are fitment issues.
It's also heavier on the wallet.

if you style of driving doesn't require it. then you wont require a koyo 37mm one either. spend $150-$200 and buy a oem replacement.

I went through the same process not long ago. I searched for a 37mm in Aus but not available. I wanted a good quality alum radiator that fit right in. I ended going with goodwin racing and dont regret it. I know others have bought cheaper ones from ebay and had no problems at all. The thicker radiators will fit but I am pretty sure you will need to modify the air con brackets (from memory.....could be wrong).

I'd like to track my car later this year so I think an upgrade would be appropriate.
At $150 for oem I'd be laughing. They are $322 quoted from Mazda.

FYI I have the 53mm fitted, no problems, I also run intercooler piping between my block and the fans, so you should be able to make it work.

Well then it would be appropriate. You have failed to suggest you will be hitting the track.
Mazda are not the only place you can buy a oem replacement.
