I have recently changed my rear muffler (thanks to Dann) and it is quite a bit louder than the previous one.

I have a hotdog between the cat and muffler. its already the longest one i can find very similar to this one. its 450mm long

I have measured between the cat and where the rear of the exhaust starts to bend and I have about 650mm to work with so I was thinking my options are to have 2 x 300mm units.

But i was wondering if anyone has fitted this slightly fatter style which is 102mm in diameter but will offer a bit more muffle. I have measured and it seems like it might fit but was hoping someone might have experience with them.

Alternatively i could get two of these 89mm diameter ones.

The large diameter one will have a pretty big effect.

Thats what I would go for if it really will fit.

I can second that. The smaller diameter ones do change the sound but not significantly. The 102mm one you have listed there will make a significant difference.
I have the longest one i could get my hands on on mine, and can comfortably hear the exhaust around town but on the highway, wind and tyre noise takes over. Zero drone.
Initially for the first few weeks my car was too quiet with it on but it's sound has grown up nicely. I do enough highway km to warrant not wanting any booming exhaust noise in the cabin.

The other types you have there aren't wide enough inside to act as a sufficient baffle. They do take some of the edge of raspness off the higher frequencies but not as much as you'd think or like.
