how to tell if my viscous lsd still works

hi guys.. last few days been reading that the jdm NA6 models came from the factory with a viscous lsd, but they tend to die out by 100,000ks turning them into an open unit. is there anyway to determine if mine is indeed a viscous unit and if it still works. practice sessions around a cone leaves the passenger rear tyre in shreds with the driver side normal. is that a sign?

Yeah its stuffed.
If you cannot do donuts and control the size of the circle whilst oversteering the whole way its stuffed.

Put one wheel in the grass one on the road, drop the clutch and see if you drive away.
You will know if it's working.

The drive with one wheel on the tar and one on the grass advice isnt well founded, it sounds right if you know diffs, but back when I didnt know diffs I tried it and had no clue at all.

I have a vlsd and when both back wheels were jacked up turning 1 would turn the other in the same direction. Now when I do it it turns the other wheel in the oposite direction just like an open diff. As well as lots of wheelspin on the track - so it is stuffed!
