GSS242 at 190 LPH should also be fine, just that GSS340 at 255 LPH was what I already had in the garage.

any one had trouble using 255 lph pump on stock engine?

No problem using it on lightly modified NA8, but did read on Miata.net early last year when I was swapping fuel pumps that some thought they might over time. Quick look on the big forum just now found this: http://forum.miata.net/vb/archive/index ... 94497.html

thanks for that clubman ,i have install the 255lph it runs ok for a while then it starts to cut out ,then runs ok on light throttle ,i first thought it was coil packs but checked them with a ohms metre they are all in resistance spec

Don't think it's the so called 'black wire' issue but worth checking continuity at outer top of tank in case it's variable: viewtopic.php?f=55&t=46425

There are knock offs rife on the internets all of them advertise a flow rate far exceeding their capabilities. Just wondering if there is actually a Walpro branded one that you've been eyeing, and if so, stay away. Genuine Walbro's are cheap enough as it is, compared to Bosch, so make sure you do your homework and buy from a reputable shop.
