Dent in crossmember from incorrect jacking (NA8)
Hi. Noticed that I have a dent in the crossmember in the centre from where it looks like the car was jacked without distributing the weight. Doesn't seem to affect the drivability but wondering if I should replace it or whether it can be beaten back into submission. Has anyone had any experience with this? I have not yet been able to determine if access to the inside can be made to get a panelbeater to straighten it or whether I should just get a replacement crossmember. Located in Wagga, NSW fwiw. Cheers. :-)

its very common to see a dish in a x member at jacking point. Many older cars have dings and dents etc on their chassis'. I would ignore it. If it bothers you go to a panel shop or a mechanic and ask for a quote.
