Motorkhana engine temps

Hey guys,
I've just pulled the A/C system out of my NA6 and I'm trying to decide whether I want to leave in the extra fan. The most stressful use I can think of in terms of engine temps that I'll be putting the car through is motorkhanas, since they generally involve hard revving but not much speed in order to actually get air flowing through the engine.
Long story short, can any of you who are regularly competing in motorkhanas comment as to how hot the engine gets and whether it would be worth having an extra fan that I can switch on when necessary?

It should be fine with just 1 fan.
Although a motorkhana is high revs, it's also only for 30seconds at a time.
My NB never overheated at a motorkhana, it just has the stock fans (to my knowledge the A/C fan does not come on with the thermo fan)
Actually, I can't even remember my thermo fan coming on after a run.

Yup, as said, Motorkhanas last only a minute or two at most. Hardest part would be getting the motor up to temperature as it sits around between blats.

Did a khana in December last year. Stupidly hot day, sun burnt to buggery, uncomfortable just waiting in line. The fan came on after some, but not even most, runs.
Pretty sure you’ll be fine.

Only one fan in my NA6 and it has been submitted to regular trackdays for the last four years. Never had a problem with overheating in all that time. Rip out that extra fan and rejoice in the added lightness.

Bryan: I had no concerns about running at the track, because you're working the engine hard but you're also getting lots of flow through the rad. I was more concerned about motorkhanas as there's a lot of work for the engine but not much air flow.
Thanks for the assurances guys, looks like I won't be bothering with the second fan when I put the new radiator in.

As long as you have coolant in the car, and its safe to drive to the event for example, you will be fine.
Nasty old sh!tboxes like minis and that will overheat, which is why I bought a 5! Reliability!

My experiences have been closer to this... Don't stress about it.
