Hi everyone,

I replaced my fuel pump. I ended up getting 2 from fleabay.

I installed the first one, and it made a constant whistling sound. Pissed me off bigtime...

So I installed the second one. Now no whistle but a gurgling sound....

Are all fuel pumps noisy? I cant remember what my original one was like before I removed it.

If there is a quiet pump... Where do I get it?

I'm using this one and it's pretty quiet if you insulate it properly:

I can hear it if I have the top up and the radio off, but it's not loud enough to hear unless you are listening for it.

I should mention I an in a 1999 NB

That looks good. I'll keep that product in mind.

I think I can live with the gurguler, but the whistler killed me....

Thanks for your advice :)

Hi there,

Did you find that pump noisy when you used it?

After springing for 2 pumps recently, I think I'll live with what I have for now... Thank you though..

I am more so just wondering if this is expected behaviour.

I remember reading threads about people changing the pump and them saying they can hear the pump.

Its not something I ever noticed before...
