Postby Magpie » Sat Jun 02, 2012 8:50 am

I'm currentley planning an engine change from a 1.6 to a NB8A and was looking for information on what airhorn/filter box combination will fit inside the engine bay?

Compsystems sell the Jenvey 1.8 NB ITB kit in Melbourne

From memory, the kit is missing the Air Control Valve, TPS, linkage bracket and cable kit though. Comp systems sells all that as well for about $300 ontop of the ITB kit. So you should be looking at $1,450.

Remember to factor in an aftermarket ECU.

But you won't see any gains unless you build the motor up (cams, high compression, ..)

It's going to be an expensive ordeal but if its what you want then its all good. Just remember to weigh it up against going for a supercharger and turbocharger, if you're looking at making considerable power with as little money as possible. ITB's are awesome, but the max power you can pull out is probably 150rwkw but that takes alot of time and money.
