Stalling when cold

Hey guys I have a 91 import na6 from Japan , which stalls when cold . If I let the car sit around for a few hours , when I jump in it starts perfectly, but then as I go to take off it has no acceleration and shortly after it stalls, then it takes a few minutes to get started and keeps happening untill the motor is at running temp/ warm,just wondering if anyone has heard of this or knows why this would happen ?? I have already checked the cam belt timing and is good .

There is a coolant temp sensor at the back of the head in the B6 which tells the ECU if the engine is up to temp. If this fails the ECU thinks the the engine is already warm and this causes cold running issues.

Hey guys finally got son time and replaced that sensor, spark plugs and leads, and now that it is colder in mornings it's takes even longer to start after its stalled
