Got a funny whirring noise from the car - could be bearings, or uni joints (happens on both neutral rolling and on the power)
Anyone done a bearing replacement, and is it too easy/hard to consider DIYing?
Expectations on price to get it done in the workshop? (Of course I do realise I can just ask the local workshop too)
Anyone done a wheel bearing replacement (NA)?

Re: Anyone done a wheel bearing replacement (NA)?
Easy if you have the correct tools
Have a read HERE
Hardest part is having the torque wrench that reads to 125 to 150ft lb and the 29mm socket
Highly recommended to pay the extra and buy the OEM replacement from Mazda.
Non genuine have been known to last as little as 20k km, some even less.

Does it start at slow speed and get worse as you increase speed or only happen at a certain speed/rev range?

Or buy from a reputable place such as CBC bearings. I replaced my front bearings with CBC units 150000km ago and they're still going strong
1/5 the price of Mazda too!
Supreme Blue NB8B, 1:16.98 at Wakefield when stock, but it's not stock any more...

I'm about to do my wheel bearings; do you have the right part numbers so I can buy from CBC ?
This will be for a full set, as I'm also installing a set of NB Brakes ;)
Thanks
Cheers
