Replacement Engine Mounts for NA8- Where from & which ones?
Hey all,
Need both new engine mounts for my NA8.
Genuine are about $100 each so hoping to find some cheaper aftermarket options.
Any suggestions?
Or if you have some?
Im in Vic

Re: Replacement Engine Mounts for NA8- Where from & which on
I'm using IL Motorsport units, I think I bought them from MX5parts.co.uk? I can't remember but they were about $80 for the pair and they seem to work great, even with the extra torque of the turbo.

The MazdaSpeed ones are popular & very well priced:

A number of group buys of these have occurred in the past so you might find someone has a set in the garage they've not used.
Think these are the ones Zossy's refering to:

Re: Replacement Engine Mounts for NA8- Where from & which on
aren't OE engine mounts available? The OEM moulder is almost certainly going to be better than a non certified supplier. Mazda would have known something about what spec and what they were trying to achieve. All OEM rubber mounts are certified and tested for performance in a testing facility. All the tests are specified for X cycles and subjected to a variety of other tests like separation ageing etc. I would expect that the rubber spec / mount spec and testing requirements are never released by Mazda. If you only source on price you narrow the criteria,

Mr Morlock, the mazda competition engine mounts, are made by mazda (the OEM) - part number: NAY1-39-040.

Thanks, I realised the cart had 2 or 3 items in it, so the postage was much more than it should have been. I'll probably order some mounts from corksports tomorrow.
