I can get a ready to fit 200cel metalcat to my door for just under $400 from the mx5parts UK is there anywhere in Aus I can get similar from for the same money--or less would be nice.

Do your research into brand, warranty, etc.

I recall some brands of high flow cat have a tendancy to wear rather quickly.

No point spending $400 on a cat only to have it collapse in 6 months and do the same job as a broomhandled cat.

Before asking, I didn't do the research. My girlfriend did when looking for a high flow cat for her car.
I just remember her saying there's a few that collapse rather easily.

There are heaps of brand name cats on eBay for around $160, buy one, bring it to exhaust shop, get them to fit it for another $100-$150.

Just in case you haven't picked it up yet, the US is more often than not, the best source for aftermarket replacement parts. cue Mr.Morlock

Simply replace the word "MX-5" with "Miata" and you should find everything you are looking for.

As to the rest of your drivel , this is a forum, a place for discussion and real time relevant ideas exchange ---just in case you haven't noticed --if you're going to reply with something relevant and germaine to the question good ,otherwise , go away , I niether need or want you fishing analogies.

I have been in touch with Best Mufflers who can supply a ready to fit --when Chris finds the jig --for around $370 delivered, dependant on the cat chosen.

You have to remember that its not just you that has a say in whether you want or dont want 1red5's opinion.

He is right, there is far too many unresearched silly questions on the forum.
