Hi,
Can the engine be removed with the rear of the ppf still attached to the diff? I am having trouble tracking down an M14x1.5 to remove the diff sleave, thus stopping me from removing the ppf.
engine removal question.

Yes I do this every time.
But why do you need a m14 bolt to remove the ppf from the diff?

I recall some reference to that in the Haynes manual - it is incorrect, just undo the bolts. However, you do not need to disconnect the PPF at the diff to remove the engine.I am having trouble tracking down an M14x1.5 to remove the diff sleave

Re: engine removal question.
The diff sleeve can sometimes be difficult to remove, but when it is stuck I have removed the mounting block on the side of the diff carrier, which then enavls you to remove the ppf.

Re: engine removal question.
There MUST be a correct way to assemble and dissassemble the ppf from the diff, but I always just use a crowbar and level it on and off fully assembled.
