Hi, i bought a set of extractors for an na8, and the pipe that goes along the back of the motor in the pic doesn't line up or in anyway able to screw together. Is it needed, or can i just block off the holes at both ends??

No, not needed and yes you can block off both ends.
EGR tube doesn't do much when you're WOT on track..

Thats how mine is now and has been for last 6 mths..

Rather than block it, do yourself a favour and remove the EGR pipe from the intake manifold, and make a nice little plate to replace it. Much cleaner.

FYI this will trigger a CEL if your car has one. Not really a problem on the track... ;)

Thanks guys. I will make a plate for the manifold side. The threaded hole for the extractors is huge, about 20mm. So i might just weld the hole inside, it's only about 5mm. Unless i can find a big screw in plug.

Hmm, that would probably be a gas-thread bung you are after.

Take the extractors down to Pirtek, they will fix you up.
