NA6 diff stub axles

Hey all. Done some searching, can't find any answers.
Put a new diff centre + cradle etc in last night. All went sweet. Went to put the stub axles in, and they wouldn't slide in. Pulled the circlips off, and they slid straight in. Not sure how to get them in with the circlips? Any help would be great. Cheers

make sure the circlips are tight and arent overhanging the groove, you might have to take them off and bend them or grind them a little thinner, now hit them with a mallet.

Martin he replaced the whole diff as an assembly, not just the centre.

It makes no sense to me to grind a circlip- look at the design intent- it almost appears that the assembly process is not correct. Look at a workshop manual or ask a specialist for comment.

Crimped the circlip tighter, and hit it with a bigger rubber mallet, and went straight in
Cheers guys
