silicone hoses [noob q]

Hey silicone hoses.. just curious they actually better?
Punctured one of my hoses.. and well i looked at the condition of the rest realsied maybe ill just change the lot.
I checked out on ebay they sell silicone hoses + there RED for $45 worth it?

Silicone is more resilient to environmental damage and degradation, and is more resistant to damage by oil.
One catch with them is, to ensure proper sealing, you really need to clamp them with T-Bolt clamps, or at least quality worm-gear clamps, as they don't have the same "squishiness" as rubber to allow OEM spring clips to work properly.
Best value hoses are Kevlar impregnated rubber from UK.

doesnt do sh*t in my eyes.. from what i read on the net and what u guys said lol.
i just replaced them with normal hoses for $30

Carefull with the kevlar ones.
I bought a set and they went all dried and cracked within 12 months.
