Clutch pedal pressure

Hi

Just fitted the master cylinder(new) and slave cylinder(new) to my MX5 clubman build. Thrust bearing and fork all seemed ok when I attached the gearbox to the engine. Clutch pedal pressure is pretty hard - harder than I expected compared to something like a Corolla. How hard is the standard pedal ? Is it fairly strong or could there be something I've overlooked. The clutch looks stock OEM for a 2002 MX5. I know the pedal ratio is different to standard ( see link photos ). Could it be the pressure plate ? Clutch has done about 80,000 Kms.

Could be the thrust bearing is tight, or the fork is not installed correctly. Its a pretty soft clutch stock.

That clutch pedal looks like it has. Short through maybe that has something to do with it?
