Is there a good test to see if your clutch is slipping?
Thanks in advance

Give the car a gentle clutch kick in 4th. It should grab hard and shove you in the back. If it revs a bit and pushes softly its not ok. But if you accelerate and the tacho is moving faster than the car is accelerating that should be enough to tell you.

Easiest way if your driving along in second put it into fourth and accelerate, because you have put the car under load ( by effectively being in to hgher gear) if there is a problem with your clutch the revs will rise with no real added speed. If its OK the revs will drop and the car may labour then slowly increase speed.

I've always found driving up a hill in a tall gear is a good indicator. (high load) Revs increase without increase in speed etc as per previous instructions.

You need to use the brakes to do a burnout.

On a front wheel drive? Handbrake on, yes...but did he have his foot on the middle pedal?

I don't see a break light on (maybe angle), so I'd say no.
