OK, so managed to kill my clutch slave cylinder on the skidpan this weekend, but I think it was on its way out for a few months anyway

Will be replacing the master and slave cylinders regardless, just wondering what people's thoughts are on whether there's any need to do the clutch at the same time, and if a heavy duth clutch and light flywheel is a worthwhile investment for an NA6 (non turbo) that will be doing a bit of road use and a track day every month.

If the clutch and flywheel is what you want to spend money on, its well spent money. nothing wrong there. But no its a lot more work to do the clutch as well if its not buggered yet.

Having installed my 6 speed with the engine in the car, I think I'd pull the motor+gearbox to do the clutch in the future. The top bolts on the bell housing are a pain in the rear.

I wouldn't touch the clutch unless it's slipping or you're already in there doing work.

Clutch slave however is a quick replacement.

You could also think about replacing the complicated clutch lines (rubber + metal) with a braided replacement line.
