NA6 Clutch Switch

Postby Stag76 » Fri Apr 01, 2011 10:51 am

My NA6 Eunos Roadster has a switch similar to the brake light switch operated by the clutch pedal. I am fitting after-market cruise control, and I want to use the clutch switch (as well as the brake switch) to cancel the criuse mode. Is the clutch switch used for anything else that I am going to upset by wiring the cruise control through it?

According to Haynes & Rod's Manual, clutch switch position tells ECU if clutch pedal is depressed or not, which apparently on some MX5s/Miatas/Eunos Roadsters will not allow the car to be started unless pedal is depressed.

A recent post quoting Miata.net suggested it might also be used for factory fitted cruise control: viewtopic.php?f=29&t=46358
