few little things on my nb

hey guys,
got a few little things on my nb8a that is a bit weird, was hoping some of you would know why it happens..
i got the nb a few months ago,
runs fine but sometimes when its at low revs, lets say 1.5k-2k, and i open the throttle a little bit, the car hesitates and jerks until the revs go above 3k then it runs fine again...
i expect the car to be slow from such low revs, but it shouldn't hesitate and jerk as if i pushed the throttle then let it off again immediately, then pushed it again, etc..

not sure if this is a problem or not, but when starting the engine,
it'll take slightly longer than usual to start, its not overly long, but it'll be around the border of passengers asking 'what was that', or not noticing..

any input would be appreciated, thanks :)
oh and the car is awesome haha

Denis,

First up change the plug leads and plugs as this sounds typical of plug leads breaking down under load.

Mazda leads are known to start playing up from around 40000klms ( I know there will be people who have had much better than that out of them)and this is a relatively inexpensive fix.

Mine does the same,

the sub 3000rpm crap feel tends to only happen to me on cold mornings, and usually only once.
after I changed my spark plugs it felt a bit better, but as Pcmx5 said, if you can do leads at the same time then do them. (even if it's not them, it's and easy job to do)

and the slow cranking, could be either leads as mentioned, or possibly the battery getting tired.

I'm having that now, and I just thought it was just a thing. Only happens once, and only when cold. I've been looking for an excuse to get nice red plug leads haha. Thanks man.

Peter,
my car is now at my mechanic's getting its major service done, and few different things like brakepads, fluid change, new clutch slave cylinder, etc etc..
really hoping it'll drive like my friend's nb8a he just bought, it just goes so much smoother.
Should be picking the car up next week, so fingers crossed it will come out good and won't cost me an arm and a leg for the labour.

thx,
Denis

just got it back from major service,
problems are gone, car doesn't jerk anymore under 3k...
also received my bonnet and fender today in the mail to replace my hail damaged ones..
bonnet is fine but fender is completely bent over on itself at the spot where the indicator goes. does anyone know if this will be an easy fix or not?
