Really unhappy with the level of under bonnet induction noise. Looking for practical solutions to this problem. By practical i mean I still want to run an Air filter and I don't want to install and aftermarket computer. Quad throttle bodies would be nice but again not a practical solution...

The MX5 Mania Cold Air intake is a very popular mod. It gives a very deep and aggressive induction noise, but it does require drilling into the non-structural part of the firewall (into the section where the wiper shafts are).

If you don't want to spend any money, you could just drill holes into your air box and take the snorkel off.

Thanks thats the sort of thing I was after... The mania cold Air box. The drilling holes for effect is a bit bogan for me....

remove oem airbox and paper panel filter and run a cloth pod filter, that'll get you induction noise.

The mania CAI is a double edge sword, you will also get noise from the throttle body, steering noise along with the induction noise.

Its a bit like putting a didgeridoo on your car IMHO, having just got one.

Pod filter is the cheapest way.

I had a Monsterflow on my 99 back in the states, with cool air box. No cutting and it looked and sounded GREAT. Not cheap though.
