6spd installed....speedo out !

Hi all,

I installed a 6spd a while back and the speedo is out by 20klm....... am i ment to swap the 5 spd speedo sensor into the 6 spd ? or what do i change to make it right ??

any help appreciated

There are at least 4 different speed sensors depending on diff and gear ratios. Because the 6 speed is different to your 5 speed you'll need to change to the right sensor. See the link:

Mazda should be able to tell oyu which one is correct in a 6 speed (I think it's the green one)

Yes, if you have not changed the diff ratio from what was originally behind the 5-speed.
