Re: Randall cowl intake duct
The Randall looks to be for the US models, so it caters for having to go around the brake booster.
being RHD we haven't got that issue, so you may well be able to fit a normal firewall intake much like the MX5 Mania one (although I seem to remember the NB8B had ABS or something in the way??)
us$213 is quite a lot of money for what is essentially a long piece of tubing, after postage that would probably work out being closer in cost to a "proper" intake.
maybe look at the DDM works intake? (no idea on price)
I've dríven an NB8A with one fitted and it's quite a nice intake, it looks quality when fitted, and produces a really nice sound that's not over the top. (the mania intake is great, but is also rather loud. depends what you're looking for)
if you have your heart set on the Randall one, you can just buy a spare snorkel for your box and do some cutting, gluing and painting and make one similar.

Re: Randall cowl intake duct
& our Loch Stewart intake won't fit their cars as the brake booster is in the way.
The Loch Stewart & copies are better anyway.
