Which isn't bad at for the 1.8L engine from the early 90's & they weren't difficult to extract 300HP from, just the gearboxes didn't like it. The only other consumer sold BP turbo engine to match is the one in the SP. Although few people have reported bent rods though. The BPD has competition forged pistons/rods instead of the stock NA piston/rods like the SP has.
Back in the 90s & earlier turbo engines were generally low compression for bigger boost, where as now it's high compression with lower boost to get quick spool & good torque range instead of waiting waiting thrust back into the seat.
