Hey when my engines cold and recently if i push it to hard when its kind of warm i get a screech from my engine bay anyone has this or know what it is?

Is your air con on when it happens?

This is usually caused by a loose belt.
A temporary solution is a spray can of belt grip, spray it on the possible offending belts such as the alternator belt, fan belt, AC belt, etc, etc.

Im not to sure if its when the A/C is on or not why would that matter?

How hard is it just to replace the belts? how much?

Belt checking can be done pretty easily and they will not last forever. If the belt is loose as already stated it can slip and squeal. It may then be tightened but not excessively. A set of belts is about $50. A look at a something like a Haynes manual is useful - not sure if the owners manual mentions it. If one does want to do basic maintenance it is necessary to use a reference source. A Haynes would be cheap with the current Fx

I bought the Haynes and the 2 Rod's manuals (for the 1600 and 1800 - even though mine is a 1600) for not much more than the cost of just one here.
