After 35mins driving, mix of traffic, all of a sudden the accelerator steps down a little and the revs climb to 1600rpm. They will stay there, intermittently dropping back to idle then returning back up to 1600rpm.
If you leave the car for a while and return everything is normal. Not related to fans coming on either.
Sensors or air intake?
Any ideas?
Thanks

Did you read the link properly, revs rise THEN dip. I've had it happen. Easy thing to check and a fairly common issue.

Re: CAR IDLE ENGINE REVS
Fattima - Yes i did read it, something which you appear to be incapable of. The revs rise and never drop below idle CLEARLY STATED. This continues and is not related to being at a stop, again 'stop' is CLEARLY NOT MENTIONED. The 'link' is related to the idle, mentions taking your foot off the accelerator when I CLEARLY mentioned the accelerator actually moves in a downward direction. The 'ambient-mechanical' setting isn't relevant as I CLEARLY mention that it goes back to idle.
Thanks gobsmax, will start there.

Re: CAR IDLE ENGINE REVS
I've heard of the idle dip several times which mine does but I've never heard of your problem.
And I don't blame you for your retort, There's some stirrers on here like evrey forum
