Hi Guys,
I am in a bit of a spot of trouble and I am hoping someone can help me, I was changing my spark plugs today and by accident snapped the end of the sensor that goes into the 2nd spark plug hole. I have taped it up and it seems to be doing fine, however its a short term solution and I need to know where I can buy the new part from and how much? Please excuse my ignorance! Any help will be appreciated! Oh, the car is a 2000 NB8B. Thanks

First up, please include your location (User Control Panel - Profile)
Someone local may be able to help you
As you have a NB8B
What part did you actually break
1 Connector
2 High-tension lead
3 Ignition coil
4 Plug cap
5 Spring
Could try a local forum sponsors or Mazda

Thanks for your reply De bounce, I have broken number 3. The ignition coil, specifically the end of it which connects to high tension lead. Do you know roughly how expensive this part is? And how quickly I can get it?
Thanks.

Might be worth seeing if it can be bodgied up.
From there you could try one of the forum sponsors or if someone has a spare.
Then try Mazda, although you might need a chair after they tell you the price
The coil is available new from
MX5 Parts (UK) or
Rosenthal Mazda Parts (USA)Good luck

Do you think if I glued the piece back together it would work well?
Thanks

Worth a try. If it's just the plastic casing which has broken that could well solve the problem...

I have glued it and it is working perfectly however I am nervous that the heat will melt and the piece will come apart and I will be in trouble.

maybe find a heat resistant glue, or even gasket sealant might work too
