I have a JRSC supercharged NB and have done the coolant reroute. I'm using the MX-5 Plus spacer with a Protege thermostat cover, but I'm about to pick up a Kia one on Friday as it's meant to fit a bit better (the hose is on the loose side at the moment).
I'm running the reroute on the cold side of the engine using a long bit of silicone hose with an internal reinforcing anti-kink spring. The front of the head has a welch plug where the thermostat neck used to come out.
I'll take some pics on the weekend when I fit the new thermostat cover.
