Some custom Daniel Deckers sump baffling

check out this pretty impressive fabrication work dad just did for a customers (John Metham) 1.8 race engine.

he has done a couple of these and i thought this time id take some photos and put them on here.

the main purpose is to prevent oil surge in the engine, which will happen when you start getting your lateral forces up around corners and braking, its a good idea to protect your 200 rear wheel HP naturally aspirated piece of kit from doing bearings etc.

hi guys.

if you supply just the sump already removed from the engine it will be around the $500 mark

and yes he can pretty much any fabrication work, has a mig and a tig welder that can do aluminium, if you have seen photos of sledgehammers car on the forum, all the fabrication work on that was done by dad.

I'd just like to point out on behalf of John Metham that this sump is now on his racecar.
