- sometimes getting in/out of gears become more difficult
- rev the car high-ish whilst stationary, release the throttle immediately and see how much flex/movement the engine has

Been thinking about doing a limited GB of the MazdaSpeed engine mount from Corksport given the A$ v US$. The mounts have gone up from US$69 to US$76 plus shipping etc, but they can get seven pairs into a large USPS priority mail international carton which costs US$55.95. Discount, usually of about US$4 is only offered for more than 10 pairs, which then means two boxes, which in turn means the most effective approach is 14 pairs of engine mounts, or a mix of MazdaSpeed engine & diff mounts. The diff mounts are US$99 & similarly require about 10 pairs to attract a small discount. Of course, need to keep the A$1k limit in mind when ordering these sorts of numbers - kind of escalates...

If you have a good socket set with really long extensions it is not that hard to change the engine mounts.. I have done mine in about 2 hours ah you also need 2 jacks for the job

Energy Suspension diff mounts were by far the worst mod I ever did. Took me a back breaking 4 hours to put them in and then the same again a few weeks later to get them out again. I still have them in the garage. I mean to stick pins in them then burn them and dance around the flames under the full moon to exorcise the pain.

Installing the Mazdaspeed engine mounts wasn't that bad.... I think it took only a couple of hours. The first one is actaully really easy to do, it's the second one that you really need a second persons help with. However as long as you have a jack, wheel stands and a few good pieces of lumber I wouldn't really avoid doing it. My standard mounts were fine and I only noticed a slight decreases the gearstick movement. It did reduce me hitting 5th instead of 3rd when dropping gears though on the track.

Phil I actaully run a 3 point diff brace which increased the NVH a bit but was dead easy to put in. I think it's a carbing unit.

The Front STB is Rs Aizawa. Rear strut, front subframe and guard braces were Carbing. The diff brace doesn't have any markings. I just assume it's carbing.

Not that hard,we did a set today, the secret is a lonnnng extention bar,on the drivers side undo the nut that attaches the mount to the bracket and take it out in two sections
