I thought I read on here about a fuel additive injection cleaner.

Pull em and have them cleaned or replaced..all else is snake oil

Pete, Redline SI-1 fuel additive is more expensive at $20 or so, but good stuff:

There's also Subaru Upper Engine Cleaner for about $20, but this is sprayed into top of engine vacuum lines as opposed to being added to fuel:

Will PM you contact details of where you can buy a new set of factory NB8B injectors cheaper than you can get them cleaned for, if/ when you want to go down this track.
