NA6 -> NB6 intake manifold + NA8 Throttle body

I know it has been done and I was hoping to seek some wisdom from the forum.

I am hoping to do this for the more modern intake manifold and the variable TPS on the NA8 TB.

I have a NB6 intake manifold that has a NA8 throttle body bolted to it. I hope to replace my existing NA6 intake manifold but I've noticed it has quite different pipes and connections.

My primary concern is the idle control appears to be fastly different. In the NA6 it had a stepper that would crack open the idle, the NA8 TB has a little box with a bypass past the butterfly. Functionally I guess these do the same thing but what have other people done when converting to this setup. Kept the NA8 idle control? Does the NA6 idle control fit? I don't have access to the NA6 hardware unless I pull it off the car and I was trying to avoid that until the day I do the installation.

i assume you'd need some sort of aftermarket engine management for the variable tps?

Got that sorted, I've been running a DIYPNP Megasquirt for a few months.

I noticed tonight that the NA8 throttle body appears to require it's own air supply whereas the NB8 doesn't have the additional piping.

Could someone point me at an online resource with diagrams of both throttle bodies? The NB8 one seems easier to implement.
