Steel cats

Today Johnd(91 BBR low pressure turbo T&C exhaust) and Chris H (2002 NB with T&C catback) visited Geelong to have steel high flow cats put on.
We then had a nice scenic drive to Lorne( roadworks and heaps of traffic gave us an opportunity to view the scenery on a magnificent day) and a wonderful blast up over the Otways to Deans Marsh and back to Geelong to Dalton Automotive in South Geelong where both cars had previously been dyno tested (Geelong Dyno day).
Both cars sounded magnificent, Chris's car now rivals TOY MX's as the best sounding MX i have ever heard; John's Turbo has always had very little exhaust noise until ,T&C replaced the rear muffler with a reasonator and now with the steel cat. it is a very subtle but nice note.
The good news on a day where the AT and IT were within a degree of the last test both cars picked up about 4RWKW and extra torque that was consistent across the rev ranges and both drivers could feel the extra drivability before the dyno test.
Chris reckons he was one gear higher on the climb up the Otways and did not need to ring his car out to achieve the same performance while John reckons he could feel the difference before we got to the 100klm zone!
Overall a great day out( one of the joys of being semi retired) and very pleasing results.
