Hey all,
I have been researching a bit about the re-rout of coolant as it seems to be an issue with the mx5 :| If you com is to slow to watch....basically the holes in the front and rear of the motor are the same size so they swap the thermostat to the rear of the motor along with the snout bit and grab some hoses and run it back to the rad around the plenum. Also running a longer heater hose, because that fitting is now at the front of the motor. Not pretty but its cheap
Cant see it when the bonnets shut

coil packs at the rear on my NB8a may require a little extra modifying.....

I found this handy video on youtube

i started the poor man's re-rout today....
i'll post some pic's when i'm done i got to the relocating the coil packs bit and started to scratch my head a little.......not much room to work with there after you put the snout at the rear of the engine....

i'll look into this running the NB8b coil packs buisness. Thanks for the idea

I'm going to put my DIY re-rout in he "mx5 technical guides" section of the forum. I managed to re mount the coil packs in a not to ugly way.......So this is NB8a friendly now too :) (edits original heading)
