If anyone is thinking about the advisability or otherwise, of swapping their NB8A (brown) injectors for NB8B (light purple) injectors and can still get hold of the bargain priced virtually new units via 93 Clubman, I say DO IT!
$60 for 4 almost new ones (which are slightly larger throated) is a whole lot better than getting the originals cleaned at $33 each plus labour to remove and refit. The entire job for my car (i.e 4 new injectors plus labour) came to $200. Fuel economy seems unaffected, yet throttle response has improved distinctly.
Thank you 93 C'man for recommending this excellent upgrade to me!

$200 all up - Crikey! I've heard of injectors being cleaned only for $20 each, but I think that was mates rates.

$25 was mates rates when I had mine done on a Camira 7 years ago. Standard rate at the time was $40 per injector. Don't forget it's also recalibrating the spray pattern, that can make more of a difference than having the varnish in the injectors being removed.

What are the benefits of having NB8B injectors in an NB8A?
