Hi guys,
I'm not sure how high the intake temps are getting on the 5, but after a 7min run they're high enough for the car to be noticeably slower, my intake is just a 90degree silicon pipe with a pod attached like wazman's setup. Anyone suggest a way to get heat out of the engine bay? Or maybe force air into the pod?
Cheers
Matty

Pics of engine bay?
Is the pod exposed? if it is, it'll be sucking in hot air.
So you'll need some sheild for it or an air box.
Once you have that you can make a pipe that collects cool air from the front or the rear cowl like the mania set up.

Irwin8er has a similar setup. He ran ducting up from under the front lip to the filter so it got some pressurized cold air. He might still have pictures of it uploaded to an album. His intakes seems to work quite well.

This is a photo of Wazman's engine bay, but mine is exactly the same.

Yep, put it back over the other side of the engine bay where it belongs as there are holes both below the LHS headlight and in the LHS guard designed to allow cool air in to the engine bay. Also worth putting some heat shielding around it and the exhaust.

Your possibly sucking hot air straight out of the back of the radiator.
