Hi,
I currently have a remote oil filter located on the chassis rail behind the drivers side headlight. I'm lookin at installing a pod type air filter and the oil filter will then be in the way. Where else do you guys have your remote oil filters located?
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Troy

Not a bad idea but I have grown accustomed to retaining the skin on my knuckles.
I do all my own servicing and mods.

Do the oil filters on remote setups normally get mounted face down like this??
Would make it very messy when you change the filter, as well as take away the ability to fill up the new filter with oil prior to fitting?
Is there pros and/or cons for mounting face down, versus face up, versus factory fit side ways?
(I'm looking to get one around (for?) christmas so just doing some research first...)

Yes, from what I've seen around
No, from how I see it, it will always drain downwards, it can't be any worse than when it fits sideways coz that way... not all of it can drain out
As long as oil goes into, and out of the filter properly, I don't think there should be too much difference. You could probably go into the extra effort the oil pump needs to use to pump around... but that may be splitting hairs...
